The Age of Missing Information - Excerpt 8

Title: The Age of Missing Information
Author: Bill McKibben
Page: 42

If you were really aware of living, say in Denver, as opposed to in "America" or in "affluence" or in "suburbia," you would not insist on having a green-grass lawn like some long-ago Sussex lord. But since Denver as a latitude and longitude and as an altitude and a vegetation zone means little to its residents, they dam great rivers so they can sprinkle, flood gorges so they can golf.

I practice very hard, you know.
