My thoughts are with you. Please keep safe and smoke-free, and I'll hope the fires are contained as soon as possible.

thanks. it's really bad down here right now. throughout the morning i had the tv on to the news. at night i had a class but it was cut short due to the bad air quality. the air feels so toxic right now. being in it for 15 minutes makes my eyes water, nose burn, skin itch, and my hair reeks of burnt ash.

stay inside, darnit! can you get a mask for outside? i know they are so unattractive and not comfy, but they're probably better than smoke inhalation.

i hear the santa ana winds are dying down today and tomorrow, that'll help immensely.

the whole day the school's health center has been giving out free masks. I was only outside for an hour (walking to and from class, waiting for the bus to take me back home) during the night hour, and I figured it'd wouldn't be so bad by then. I was wrong! I had planned on getting one this morning, but the air quality is 10 times better than what it was the day before. The santa ana winds died down so it's just extreme heat we're dealing with now (91 degree weather, can you believe it?! doesn't feel like halloween's approaching at all!).

i think the worst place has got to be san diego right now. half a million evacuated & the majority were from SD.
