Titles:
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
Beauty's Punishment
Beauty's Release

Author: Anne Rice (aka: A.N. Roquelaure)

Challenge Reason: Pornographic (oh noes, sex!). Columbus Metropolitan Library removed the trilogy in 1996 after a complaint from a library patron. Also removed from Lake Lanier Regional Library system in Gwinnett County, Georgia, in 1992. (Source)

Summary: Beauty isn't awakened with a kiss, but with intercourse by a prince who hails from a land ruled by a perverted Queen and Court. Princes and Princesses come to the Court for "training" on subjugation, submission, pleasure and pain. The trilogy follows Beauty's struggles.

These books are very graphic and erotic. I wouldn't rec'd them to most people (myself included). I'm not sure what the moral or theme was supposed to be, except that there are a lot of ways one can violate another's body. I only read parts of the last book, because I was curious as to what happened to Beauty.

Definitely not the type of books I'm interested in, but to each their own.

No quotes. Unless you want some.

My gripe with these books wasn't the subject material, it was how badly they were written with no regard for what's anatomically possible.

You have displeased me!
Come here! Now! No, don't walk here, CRAWL my pony, crawl! It's off to the stables with you, where you'll have sex with fifteen guys, three girls, a midget and a trained sea otter.
