Out of McNuggets, woman calls 911

A woman called 911 three times when a McDonald's ran out of McNuggets.

Yes, the store should have reimbursed her (you can't claim it's store policy that all sales are final when the sale doesn't actually result in, you know, the transfer of a product).

But calling 911?

I'm trying not to laugh, because CLEARLY this woman has issues but come on:

"This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one. This is an emergency."

I would go as far as to say she has serious mental issues for even TRYING to justify this as an actual emergency. If you have problems with a cashier you ask for their manager or supervisor, if you don't have that level of sense you have quite a bit more going on.

I cannot believe a woman seriously called 911 over chicken nuggets and then actually acted like it was a real emergency. And she didn't just call ONE time... she called THREE times! o.o

If you go: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0303091mcnugget1.html you can hear all three calls as well as see the police report. Crazy!

she called 911 because they took her money and refused to give her a refund. according to mcdonalds, the employee was in the wrong and violating mcdonalds policy by denying a refund. the woman was looking for help from the police and granted she should have called the non-emergency police number, but do you know your local police departments non-emergency number?

Our non-emergency number is 311. I don't know if that's just california or what.

I still do not think a lack of a refund is an emergency worthy of 911. Yes, the fast food restaurant was in the wrong, still doesn't warrant three calls to 911, imo.
