Oh good lord....well I guess if it encourages more car-pooling and use of PT I'm for it...but ouch. BART seems like a bargain now.

What? Each time you use it? FIVE DOLLARS?

I just got an electric dooverwhatsit for my car so when I drive along the tollway it tolls me, but I think it's a maximum of $4.80 per trip (around thirty kilometres?) and you drive underneath about eight toll points.

Even more annoying considering I voted for our state premier (along with everyone else) because he said he was going to build a freeway, and then he got elected and was all, "Thanks guys! But I meant to say 'tollway'. My bad!"

I hope the view from the bridge is at least nice!

They beg for us to carpool, then, when we do, they whine revenues are down!

Seriously. Especially, when there are untapped revenue streams. For instance, as a cyclist I find the hordes of tourists on the GGB to be a annoynace. If there are that many ppl clamoring to walk in the damp fog and window that frequently resides in the environs of the GGB....why not charge the bastards a buck to walk across? The city could rake it big piles of cash, the tourists will pay.
