Stopping time at Grand Central Station

From: http://www.improveverywhere.com/2008/01/31/frozen-grand-central/

On a cold Saturday in New York City, the world’s largest train station came to a sudden halt. Over 200 Improv Everywhere Agents froze in place at the exact same second for five minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station. Over 500,000 people rush through Grand Central every day, but today, things slowed down just a bit as commuters and tourists alike stopped to notice what was happening around them. Enjoy the video first and then go behind the scenes with our mission report and photos.

What a neat idea!

I LOOOOVE Improv Everywhere! Thanks so much for sharing! :D I had lost my bookmark to this place. I'm so glad they did this! One of my favorite missions of their's was Slow Mo Home Depot. It was especially funny because when they suddenly froze in place the song "Standing Still" by Jewel came over the loud speakers XD I read once that they do alot of stuff in the subways because the regular 9-5 commute is an 'oppressive time' for the people who have to make it and their antics make it a happy, fun time for the people who get to share it. That was something that always made me admire them :) Their fun is harmless and everyone gets to share it.
