Cell Phones

I take Mina to an off-leash hiking nature park thing-a-ma-jiggy.

I go there for Mina, but it is a nice break from cars, work, suburbia, etc.

Why do people have to talk on their cell phones AT the park? While walking their dog?

I positively hate it when people do this, but even more so when they have dogs.

You may be able to walk and talk on the phone at the same time, but you cannot walk, talk and keep a GOOD eye on your dog all at the same time. You just can't.

I encountered three people on cell-phones today who were walking their dogs. How tacky would it be to be on a conference call and then suddenly you have to scream for you dog to stop humping my dog? Just put the phone away for thirty minutes people. You can survive without it for that long. Keep an eye on your effing dog and on where you are walking (so you don't look even more stupid when you trip, fall head first into mud, and lose your cell phone, and if you do, I'm laughing at you).

Mina had a great time, though. She had fun with Monty, a gorgeous Golden Retriever, and she tried romping with a timid Ridgeback named Trixie.
