How cow, in charge

How cow, in charge
Originally uploaded by Rinalia
Howie is our largest resident at the sanctuary. He's about 2,200 lbs of big fluffy love!

He arrived 13 years ago after his mom died giving birth to him on a beef farm. He was dropped off at a local county shelter who, like almost all government-run shelters, sends farmed animals off to auction. On his behalf, we intervened and saved him. He was only four days old when he stumbled his way into the hearts of everyone who met him.

Yes, please! Sometime, you need to just come out and visit with the critters. :)

That would rule. Please send me a list of each animal's favorite treat so that I can prepare my bribes ahead of time. :P

George and I spent around three hours at the dog park today. He was a rock star. He won the hearts and minds of the people. I think Obama might decide George is the one who should get sworn in tomorrow because he is just that awesome.

He's the best kind too: silent when you need him to be, a kisser when kissing is of paramount importance, and a great recipient of hugs. :)
