An observation

I notice that teenagers seem to think a sweater is sufficient against a torrential downpour. They are wrong, of course. I do not understand why they do not have raincoats or umbrellas or why their parents think cotton is somehow a deterrent to rain.

This got me thinking about myself as a teenager. I used to wear flip flops in all weather, including rain. But I always carried an umbrella or wore a raincoat.

My unscientific conclusion is that teenagers remain a separate species from adult humans and have different environmental tolerance levels than the rest of us.

But you didn't wear flip flops, which is better than me (who also had terminally cold toesies but wouldn't give up the sandals).
