Four! Not only that, but the four firefighters rushed to the scene to free this puppy from the clutches of an evil teapot! Actually, they thought a person had gotten trapped in a teapot, which would have been impressive.

This is a cute story, but I wonder why they called emergency officials. A gentle tapping of a hammer would have sufficed. That is besides the point (geez Rinalia, way to ruin the moment)- that puppy is adorable and was clearly in love with the coconut chai tea in that teapot.

However, that is not a Bull Mastiff puppy. Under New Zealand law, technically that puppy should be muzzled at all times, since American Pit Bull Terriers are all labeled menacing dogs, along with three breeds that probably do not exist frequently in New Zealand.

The muzzle is to prevent them from eviscerating antique teapots.

Time to remove the muzzles and let the Pit Bulls eliminate the threat antique teapots clearly pose to New Zealand. (This must be a big issue if authorities rush to save people from antique teapots, right?)

My fingers very badly wanted to type "New Sealand." Hm.

Also, my spellchecker says there is no such thing as "Zealand" and that I should edit this comment.

i hope the owners have to pay the city back for wasting its resources.

Would you feel that way if it was Molly or Puppy? A waste ?

yes. i'd just break the damn teapot myself.

now if that puppy had been trapped somewhere the homeowner couldnt realistically have EASILY handled themselves, like in a drainage pipe or something, then i would not see it as a waste, not at all. but a teapot? really? the fire dept needed to be called for that?

Oh, I don't disagree. It was just the use of the word "waste" that I thought was surprising. My guess is the people thought they would crush the puppy's skull if they tried anything. They panicked and acted irrationally. Perhaps not the best use of resources, but certainly not the worst. :)

perhaps i am a bit hasty in judging them, as i am prone to panicking and overreacting as well. it just seemed so silly.
